This Basic ATDs give pilots a mental edge by providing a safe training environment that is conducive to learning, practicing, and understanding procedures. Unfortunately, an actual aircraft cockpit usually does not provide such an environment and indeed can be quite overwhelming for newer students.

The ATD platform is a powerful training tool that helps students practice their thinking skills, i.e. visualizing procedures, situational awareness, scan technique, etc., before getting in the aircraft. BASIC ATD Model PI-135 can be used as a loggable training device for the following:

  • 2.5 hours Private
  • 10 hours Instrument
  • Recent Flight Experience (RFE) - Instrument

Crew coordination — two people in the cockpit working together — is one of the hardest concepts for pilots to master. It's difficult for many to relinquish what they consider control after so many hours of juggling the controls, the charts, and the checklists while tuning the radios, talking to ATC, and maintaining some measure of situational awareness.

To be told to just fly the airplane and depend on a partner to take care of the details can be mind-boggling and difficult to deal with. There is an almost overwhelming tendency to quickly accomplish tasks and checklists without consulting the other crewmember. an be used as a loggable training device for the following:

This is an FAA approved Advanced Aviation Training Device is setting new standards in high-quality simulation technology. The RC-1 is a complete full-featured ATD with life-size, high-resolution instruments, cockpit enclosure, instructor station, and external visual system with large-screen display as standard equipment.

It's three trainers in one with included simple, complex, and twin-engine aircraft capability. Add an optional Garmin GNS 430/530 or connect any handheld GPS or EFB for unlimited extended training possibilities.

The RC-1 provides the same flying credits as a level 3 FTD for a fraction of the cost.
